TX-22 Sekula-Gibbs Channels John Kerry On Taxpayer Funded Illegal Worker Day Labor Sites

There's nothing in Texas law that prevents crazy people from running for public office. But really now-are voters expected to actually elect someone as crazy as Shelley Sekula-Gibbs and allow her to DO anything to worsen the problems we Texans face every day...like the illegal immigrant problem we already HAVE in Houston? Either she thinks we're crazy down here in Texas...or she assumes we're too stupid to know any better. Whichever it is, she's bad news...and she's got to go.
Remember John Kerry's famous "I was for it . . .before I was against it" line? Shelley certainly does-in fact, the crazy lady from TX-22 fancies it well enough to have used it herself in a debate with Pete Olson the other day, hosted by the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce.
"When people wanted day labor sites when there was urinating going on and destruction of private property (by laborers without a government-funded gathering place), I supported that. When it was made clear it was a failed experiment, I voted against it."
Read on . . .
Really now, folks, day labor sites are one of many bad ideas that sound good on paper but only serve to further facilitate illegal activity. Day labor sites I see in the Austin area are no different-there is plenty of "urinating going on and destruction of private property (by laborers without a government-funded gathering place)" and the local Government keeps taking OUR money to fund them. This is a slap in the face to anyone who believes in "enforcement first" in the fight against illegal immigration.
Anyone, like Sekula-Gibbs, that sees nothing wrong with using public funds to establish a gathering place (which sometimes includes the Public taking of private property) to "house" said day labor sites, has no business going to Washington to MAKE laws, when they can't even understand the laws they are BREAKING in their own districts with their silly little feel-good initiatives.
Sekula-Gibbs seems quite content with wasting our tax money to give special benefits for illegal immigrants. Her spending of OUR money has only served to encourage illegal immigrants to move to Houston. As an at large member of the Houston City Council for 3 terms, she had every opportunity to question the wisdom of these programs., but she did NOT. Instead, she voted REPEATEDLY to fund them. As a sanctuary city, Houston's illegal problem has only worsened because of her presence. She needs to go...and go now. We don't need another Republican up in DC turning a blind eye to the root cause of illegal immigration hoping to garner a few more votes.
Pete Olson is still in this race for TX-22, fighting Sekula-Gibbs in a runoff. He has been endorsed by the Directors at Redstate. Not only does HE need our help...the whole of TX-22 needs Olson to win that seat. We have a serious problem with illegal immigrants in Texas, and all the crazy lady from Floresville seems interested in doing is making it easier for illegals to break the law...and have all the comforts of home while they're at it.

The only way we are going to get a handle on this illegal immigration is to elect people to congress that believe in enforcing our laws.
That is one of the things that I look at when I look for someone to vote for. If they are wimpy on immigration they will not get my vote or my support.
We need to support the people who are trying to make a difference
