The esteemed Charles Krauthammer wrote an excellent article on the new FISA face of Barack Obama. He informs us that the the left side of Barack's face insisted that he would filibuster any FISA bill that included immunity for the telecoms...

We this week have heard the left side of Barack Obama's face tell us that he will support the FISA bill that includes immunity for the telecoms. The two faced reponses from Obama are interesting in that the first reponse was to engage and get money from the netroots....having achieved that goal...the newest response is to not appear to be "weak" on National Security. The second response has been compelling to those of us who are watching the Media Wing of the Democrat contort their brains and bodies to protect their Messiah. The most obvious of all for the FISA bill would be one Keith Olbermann....this blight on the human race made quite a show of himself in laying on the grenade for Obama the other night...
You see Olbermann in January had this to say about telecom immunity...
"Keith Olbermann donned his most serious face and most indignant voice tone to rail against George Bush for supporting telecom immunity and revisions to FISA. In a 10-minute "Special Comment," the MSNBC star condemned Bush for wanting to "retroactively immunize corporate criminals," and said that telecom immnity [sic] is "an ex post facto law, which would clear the phone giants from responsibility for their systematic, aggressive and blatant collaboration with [Bush's] illegal and unjustified spying on Americans under this flimsy guise of looking for any terrorists who are stupid enough to make a collect call or send a mass email."

Now he has this to say...
"Thus, as I phrased it on the air tonight, obviously Obama kicked the left in the teeth by supporting the bill. But anybody who got as hot about this as I did would prefer to see a President Obama prosecuting the telecoms criminally, instead of seeing a Senator Obama engender more "soft on terror" crap by casting a token vote in favor of civil litigation that isn't going to pass since so many other Democrats caved anyway"
You see he thinks President Obama will "go after those telecoms".....his naivete would be cute if it were not so dangerous and he is not the only one....we have Ann Althouse contorting for her Messiah as well.....and let us never say that the left does not have religion they do and Obama is their saviour....but anyway....Ann had this to say about Obama's many faces of "truth" on this matter...
"Every single one of those flipflops has been an improvement, in my opinion, so am I supposed to reject Obama for flipflopping? I voted for Obama in the Wisconsin primary in part because I predicted he'd turn out to be flexible and pragmatic. I do agree with Krauthammer that it's funny the way the people who fell for the Obama of the primaries — who, unlike me, actually liked those positions he was taking — are letting him get away with the flipflop. I suppose, just as I convinced myself that the real Obama was not the one I was seeing back then, they are convincing themselves that the real Obama is not the one they are seeing now."

Let's parse this shall we?....so flip-flops on the very thing the Messiah stands for is an improvement and she voted in the primary for Obama because she predicted (psychic is she?) he would be flexible (no moral base) and pragmatic (liar) ... you see in Ann's world only other people fell for the Obama of the primaries ... nice contortion that statement there is: "you stupid people; I, Ann Althouse, knew this Obama" again pathetically dangerous thinking.
It appears the only sane person willing to take on Obama for this major knifing in the back of his stupid netroots is Glenn Greenwald ... I know, you are thinking "Glenn Greenwald" and the answer is yes and he has taken on Olbermann as well for his betrayal to the "cause" of being able to sue the telecoms ...

It is a sad day every day when the media is silent on such a major reversal from a candidate for the Presidency of the United States of America. I believe the Iraq war is the next major reversal from the left's Messiah and I hope you all watch for it, because it's coming.
I will find that to be true if these articles continue in October.

I find the CURRENT coverage interesting. There is lots of time for them to get back on that bus, especially if Obama decides that Hillary is needed on the ticket to keep the defections minimized. I would be completely unsurprised if they are in lock step with the rest of the MSM come October.

that probably explains the exploitation of activists in the primaries and the mutual drift towards a political center after the nominations is that Americans really do prefer to vote for gridlock, consciously or not. If there's such a thing as "the wisdom of crowds" then there must be a much larger subconscious at work, too.
My girlfriend got really freaked out by the emails proclaiming that Obama is the Anti-Christ. I told her about the movie "The Man Who Saw Tomorrow", about Nostradamous, in which he predicted the coming of the Anti-Christ. We called Blockbuster to see if they had it in, but they said it's been sold out for that last month -- and it had almost never been rented prior to that. Interesting.

She is going to vote Obama regardless...I have tried to show her the Real Obama..but she DOESNT want to know.
Everytime she hears or sees one of his sanitized Soundbites her eyes get glazed over..I swear she wont even entertain anything negative about the Messiah..it is heartbreaking to see this firsthand.
Bottom line is we are going to have to OUTNUMBER them...changing their brainwashed minds wont help...we need to spend our time more wisely
Don't give Olbermann undue credibility. He is speaking to the choir. His percentage of viewers in the (25-54) Demographics is approximately equal to the same percentage of the electorate that call themselves progressive/liberal. He is not gaining new converts in the (25-54) Demographics.

Liberals in the Democratic Party actually believe most of the garbage this comedian has been peddling; but I'm not sure how long he'll be their "Messiah".
To sensible observers, the alarms should have gone off during the NAFTA dust-up in Ohio last March. Having trashed NAFTA relentlessly for months (a treaty about which Obama has only a feeble understanding), the Canadians had finally had enough...and Canadian trade minister David Emerson said so. Canada has been a strong ally, and a good trading partner. Emerson suggested that an Obama-led USA could go to Hugo Chavez to get our oil, should he decide to opt out of NAFTA. (I suspect that Barack probably thought all oil comes from the Mideast, and didn't even know that Canada is our largest energy supplier....)
After Obama's clumsy attempt to send an advisor to Canada to try and repair the damage, it was evident to anyone who would open their eyes how ignorant and inept this man is...he is not qualified to run a hardware store, let alone the US government.
As more and more of these episodes are unfolding, he has nowhere to go but down. Remember folks...in the worst year imaginable for the GOP, an economy in downturn, and Bush ratings at historic lows....this is about a 5-point race in most polling. To me, that is fairly incredible. It can only indicate a voting public that is extremely uncomfortable with "Barry".
The final irony is that the centrists in the Democratic Party--many of whom are now leaving in droves--would probably be more willing to cut Barack some slack than the "Obam-orons" on the far left. Being pragmatists, they realize that politicians cut corners, and that it's all about winning. But having been diss'ed for most of a year, I suspect they're not really in a mood to play unity at this point, regardless of what HRC does. In any event, the liberal loonies are starting to get a little unglued. Eventually, they are going to see the light...when that day comes, they will scream like a bunch of scalded chimps! That will leave the Senator from Illinois with little if any core constituency.
If he implodes as badly as I expect, this could be the first 50-state election in history, with BO carrying only the District of Columbia. With Barack Obama, you're not just waiting for the OTHER shoe to drop...because you're following a centipede.
Illinois is in his column no matter what. Besides, it is still several more months until the election and anything could happen.
