Obama a Foreign National?

Hello all:
I'm a dem who will be voting McCain...I don't post here much but have vowed to give you all whatever you need to defeat Obama. Perhaps you already have seen this information.
Not a prolific blogger, but I do read a lot. Many of us who know Obama is a threat to the US are doing what we can to expose him. An important recent discussion is going on regarding Obama's duel citizenship or, his actually not being a "natural born citizen" (canada or kenya) as required for POTUS.
Obama's birth certificate, which appears to be a forgery, is posted on his "fight the smears" website, also on the great orange satan, dailykos....why fake it? what is there to hide? I have heard the McCain campaign has sent people to Hawaii and to Kenya. (BTW, the "fight the smears" site should be renamed "fight the truth" site. don't forget you're a racist if you question the guy!!! mwahaaaaaa...)
So here is a post from NoQuarter, one of the last refuges for serious questioning of Obama by democrats...qualifier--it is a pro-HRC site, so I appreciate you might not care, but check the discussion. Hope it is something you can use! Be sure to check the comments..
http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/07/03/update-daily-kos-an-obama-activi...
The idiots at dKos did a 'fake but accurate' deal with an Oama birth certificate. I cannot say whether it is real or fake, but the viewpoint that it is a fake seems a lot more credible, and is a real claim, than the claim that it is a real copy of Obama's birth certificate:
See:
PUMA/Hillary supporter site " Daily Kos, an Obama Activist, and Forged Birth Certificates":
http://texasdarlin.wordpress.com/2008/07/03/update-daily-kos-an-obama-ac...
Free Republic cites Israel Insider on who posted the birth cert to dKos:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2040486/posts
That all said, Barack Obama was born in Hawaii and so this is a big heap of nothing. It wont in any way lead to Obama being disqualified on account of his birth.
So, some dKos kids faked up a birth cert, they'll get bak to smearing McCain's war services soon enough. And the MSM is keenly uninterested in the fact that Obama's 'fight the smears' itself has smears, distortions and misstatements.

Therefore he is a natural born American. End of topic.
...I hope you see now that RedState is just a little too sophisticated and intelligent for your tactics. You believed the hype about this place. What a miscalculation.
I'll note that my dad was born in South Korea on an Army base. So, I mean, maybe I'm a foreign menace too. Who knows! Distrust me!
(Thanks RedState regulars [and hardliners] for not even paying attention to this nonsense. I'll try to do the same at Dailykos.)
Personally I think this is all a lot of ginned up nonsense but on the other hand I would not put it past him --- either innocently or deliberately. Birthright ciitzenship is a lot more complicated than most people know.
US law on citizenship for those born outside the country has changed a number of times in the past hundred years. In fact post WWII it had to be changed to deal with the children of US servicemen born in Europe. Under the law in effect at the time children born in Europe to American servicemen fathers post WWII were not automatically eligible for birthright citizenship just because the father was a citizen serving his country overseas. As I recall the law required that the father/mother had to have resided in the US in the five years prior to birth or some such silly thing; clearly with soldiers overseas from the early days of WW II this was simply not possible. Congress changed the law to carve out an exception. I know this because I are one :-)
So while I don't think thats what happened in Obamas case it is entirely possible that if he were born outside the country his mother might not have met the requirments in effect at the time. The point is it is not a slam dunk just because his Mom was a citizen, you have to look at the details of the law that applied at the time.
Just my two cents worth.

And your post links to one of the sites whose "debunking" has been debunked.
Besides, the issue isn't citizenship, it is about where he was born, on what soil. There is some evidence he was not born on US soil, and that is essential for POTUS.
The birth certificate stuff could very well be flak from the Obama campaign, to deflect any analysis, to stall for time, or generally, to pull out the "real" one later and claim he is a victim again.
BTW, you remember the rifling of the Obama, Clinton and McCAin's passport files a few months back? Guess who was involved? An individual working for a core Obama supporter. Oh yeah, i guess they were fired. hmmm. there is something there.
read the article and related posts, you might learn something that can help you defeat this man. remember he is going to [*** - Edited by Neil] raise nearly 800 million more from yes wealthy doners, not us regular people. he is slick, he is from Chicago.

This "blog" was linked to a few days ago here. I have read it before. It is unadulterated speculation. There is zero hard evidence. Without the evidence it might as well be a joke.
McCain for POTUS so the left can't ruin SCOTUS.
"Besides, the issue isn't citizenship, it is about where he was born, on what soil. There is some evidence he was not born on US soil, and that is essential for POTUS."
He was born in Hawaii. What evidence is there to dispute that?
I remain in the view that this is a dead-end rabbit trail. Lots more stuff to go after Obama than this:
With days-old infant. Canada 2 hrs away, flights from Hawaii via vancouver to Kenya...in 1961 no days old infant was allowed to fly...
unwed mother's shelter in wa? (I don't care if that's the case)
canada? I do care--POTUS MUST be born on U.S. soil--read the constitution
Kenya? doubtful (infants traveling), but if so, again "natural born" status is key.
If obambi was born outside the US, he's toast.
The birth certificate is a fake and a rouse, to focus away from the issue of where he was actually born.
Hey, this guy is running for POTUS--do you think he really has an expectation of privacy? Why can't he just come clean?
Don't believe me? Check with the McCain camp. They're following it.

You do not have to be born in
the US to be a "natural born"
citizen!

" ... it is about where he was born, on what soil."
With all due respect that's not true. It is one's citizenship that counts, not where one was physically born. There are two kinds of citizenship, natural and naturalized. Natural does not only mean born withing the borders of the US. Natural born citizens include notonly those born inside the US but those of us who derive citizenship through parentage regardless of the physical place of birth. That's why the State Department issues two documents: FS-240 Consular Report of Birth of a US Citizen; and DS-1350, Certification of Birth of a US Citizen. These are only issued outside the US to persons deriving citizenship through parentage.

800 million? That's higher than most Obamaites are willing to go. He has raised about 350 million thus far, so that means he would have to have raised about 75 million in June. Seeing as we have not seen Obama's June numbers, not likely he actually did. In fact, I would be suprised if it were much higher than 30 million.
If you had to be born on American soil to be a natural born citizen, then John McCain couldn't be President, because we know he was born to American citizens in the Canal Zone.
So you're just beclowning yourself at this point.
McCain would have been in either case. The Canal Zone was a special case at the time of McCain's birth. His parents probably received a State Department issued Panama Canal Zone Birth Certificate at the time of his birth, one of the three kinds of birth documents State issues/issued for US citizens born abroad.

Please watch your language. Profanity is forbidden in the diaries and comments at Red State. I've edited your comment accordingly.
McCain's eligibility has been settled even though he was born in the Panama Canal Zone. Obama's perfectly eligible, too.
This is a classic TimeWaster post.
If mycountryfirst is seriously trying to defeat Obama, this isn't the way to do it. It's nonsense on two levels, at least.
More likely, it's strawman fodder for the beatthesmears site.

that we owe an answer for to our friends on the other side and our neighbors in the world: why do so many of us need to be motivated by such sensation removed from the immediate issues? I don't mean "us" on our side but as parts of our national population. I'm so tired of this kind of thing that I'm even past feeling embarrassed about it.

but, I must say, I enjoy the rewards of experienced and disciplined writing much more, overall.
Actually, I haven't really lost the punk rock spirit of having my say put out there, even if it takes a little more effort to conjure up some enthusiasm some days. I just feel more satisfied every time I try a little harder to make my voice count for something on a higher level. As George Will put it to Steven Colbert, we're the side that counters confusion with truth.
Obama, PROFUSELY for taking the Bush-GOP-conservative positions, and THEN
point out how his original positions at age 47 in the dem primaries and for 20+ adult years would have produced an al qaeda dominated Iraq, a Hooverville America and a judges that tell us we can't pray in school or shoot bad guys that break into Georgetown condos.

I absolutely agree that should be done. He doesn't believe in them (his own flip-flops) but we do.
Maybe McCain will pick Obama for VP.
(At least I didn't do it intentionally. First draft was wiped out by a lightning storm. Hard to re-do with same enthusiasm.)

in terms of foreign influence-peddling, which seems a greater ill than simply accepting bribe money.
More proof that this whole birth certificate thing is full of nothing.

Thank you guys.
Bang away on my party's nominee on policy, on his temperment, on what he has done or would do. I won't agree with you much, but I'll respect it.
Thank you for showing this low absurdity the respect it is due...none at all.
I had gathered that. Again, my thanks.
I come back to RedState because most of you focus on the ideas, on the policy, on the issues. The smears gain less traction here than in most other places, frankly on either side of the ideological fence.
I can have a beer with a supply-sider. I can't have one with somebody who peddles this crap, or Larry Sinclair filth. At least you RedStaters are fighting FOR something.
Come to think of it, the only Communist beer I've ever had, Tsingtao, was completely and utterly awful. Maybe there is something to this conservatism after all?
with added water and shipping costs. Once was enough for me to swear it off, especially since I just had completed an otherwise satisfying meal at the local upscale Chinese restaurant.
Considering all the beer snobs whose insistently recommended microbrews and other exotics tasted invariably bad to me, I'd really hate to think of a world where someone else decides what beer I should be content with.
It's funny. I enjoy a wide spectrum of beers. I'm lucky to live so close to the Great Lakes Brewery, for example. Some of their stuff is fantastic. But PBR works pretty well, too.
and my first choice in the local clubs. It wasn't always carried in bars here but since it was introduced, it's been a big success.
PBR was my grandfather's favorite, too.
I just don't understand how it was I could purchase Yuengling back home in South Carolina but I cannot purchase it here in Ohio, despite the fact that they brew it in Pennsylvania.
I'd be buying nothing else, frankly, if I could get it here without a road trip to Pittsburgh. Given the price of gas I have not been doing that of late.
can get a little screwy at times. For a while, here in Athens, Georgia, a bar was allowed to carry either Old Overholt or Jim Beam Rye, but not both. Actually, I'm not sure what the current situation is there because I've had neither of those in a long time.
When I was in Kansas City for a week in 1996, I found that bars served all draft beer in plastic cups except Guinness, and that was only because Guinness had always portrayed pint glasses in their advertising.
If you recall the Coors distribution situation that was core to the plot of Smokey and the Bandit, you'll find it amusing that it really was that way in the 1970's. Coors was not allowed east of the Mississippi River.
I don't know if you've seen the 1986 documentary, Athens, Georgia Inside Out but my friend Ort, featured in the film, has anecdotes of being stopped be police while having locally-regulated brands of beer in his trunk and reaching agreement with the officer for the political reasons behind the legal absurdities. I'm curious to know whether we or the Europeans have the most byzantine alcohol laws overall.
I tended bar in South Carolina when the mini-bottle requirement was in effect. Don't get me started on byzantine alcohol laws...
I played a few shows there in the previous decade.
While the airline bottle thing was in effect, I heard there were also places that would offer Long Island Tea in a pitcher. I only heard about that from one person so I'd love to hear the low-down on that.
A few years back, former Athens resident Stephanie Stuckey led the effort in the Georgia Legislature to liberalize the beer laws. I don't really know if she was part of legalizing brewpubs in Georgia but I do know she was trying to make it possible to distribute triple-boch beer in the state. The absurdity was that, even as one could walk into any bar in Georgia and order shots of Golden Grain, triple-boch beer was not allowed because it had "too much alcohol" at 14% by volume.
I think you may have even said Columbia but I like to be sure I know.
Yes, it was Columbia. You did a gig at the Hunter Gatherer, as I recall.
Yeah, LIT was offered in pitcher form almost exclusively. Some rotgut crap LIT was available in minibottles, so we could sell it as just a single drink, but it was so terrible I knew of few places that would carry it.
Out of staters were always kind of shocked at how any mixed drink would be like twelve bucks and be frankly huge.
Good times.
the previous exchange.
Having been taught by a club coworker how to make the LIT's the way I liked them best, I can only imagine how horrible the mini-bottle approximation must have been.
knocks me right on my a**! But then, I always was a cheap drunk....
even as I was finishing my last Old Milwaukee from my Sunday stash. It's that bad, at least to my taste.
I've only had it once, and I only had one of them. It gave me a headache, and I assure you that I can drink well in excess of one beer normally. It wasn't a drinking headache. It was something far more sinister indeed.
I doubt if it's anything good but I've long been capable of drinking cheap beer and never really getting hangovers, but there was one night when I'd had Schlitz all night long but drank one Keystone before going to sleep. The next morning, I felt like someone was driving nails right into my head. Foul stuff.
every time that I attempted to run down any of those Larry Sinclair smear stories, they kept leading me back to Hillary sites.
No matter where I found it on the internet, all roads led back to her supporters.
Take their votes, by all means.
But if I may? These people will not make reliable allies of any sort.
At least Reagan Dems voted mostly for GHWB. The PUMAs are only interested in making sure that Hillary! can run in 2012.
