Republicans as we honor the life of Max M. Fisher at the Max M. Fisher

OBAMA'S HYPOCRISY...as he is set to raise more money than any other
candidate in history, his pledge to run a race using "public financing"
goes out the window.  The Democrats and their money machine will
probably outspend Republican at least 2:1.  Obama blames "third party"
groups...but the irony, the hypocrisy is that all of those groups are
working for Obama?!?  Watch for "how to buy an election" coming to your
neighborhood this fall.

HOW MUCH MONEY...see the AP's latest report for all the candidates who filed their May numbers below.

AMBINDER HAS MICHIGAN AS A "TOSSUP"...as
national pundits and analysts survey the lay of the land, Michigan
remains a battleground state.  Now that we are starting to gear up the
McCain operation on the ground...we have a unique opportunity to
attract the Reagan Democrats and Independents needed to carry Michigan
in the fall.

PEACE AND PROSPERITY...can only be achieved by having a clear purpose
and a guiding set of principles.  Take the time to think about these as
work to regain a conservative, Republican majority.

Purpose: The Republican Party exists to keep America the greatest nation on earth by advancing liberty and preserving tradition.

Principles:
1. Our liberty is from God, not the government
2. Our sovereignty is in our souls, not our soil
3. Our security is from strength, not surrender
4. Our prosperity is from the private sector, not the public sector
5. Our truths are self-evident, not relative

CONGRESSMAN THADDEUS MCCOTTER...helps  America understand what "Democrat speak" means.  Priceless...definitely worth watching.

UNIONS...KNOW THE FACTS....check the website UnionFacts.com...learn about what's happening around the country.

CARD CHECK vs. SECRET BALLOT....here is a great video on the issue and why I think it's so important that you share this information with others.

GINGRICH...3 WAYS TO LOWER GAS PRICES...a practical, realistic approach to lowering the price of gas...NOW!

DRILL HERE...DRILL NOW...PAY LESS...sign the petition to force Congress
to act.  We have huge reserves all over America and can do this
responsibly.  Please sign the petition and forward it to 5 friends.

TODAY'S TOP STORIES

The following stories and more are available at my Articles of Interest online.

MI Democrats seek to hijack Constitution

The great frustration of Michigan Democrats is their chronic failure to uproot the Republican majority on the state Supreme Court. State high court elections are the most expensive in the nation, as the two parties and their surrogates battle for control of the bench, and yet voters have kept the 5-2 GOP edge.

Obama alienates the editors

For most voters, Barack Obama's shift away from public financing is not as big a deal as the mounting death toll in Iraq, surging gas prices - or even what they're going to make for dinner tonight. But Obama's announcement Thursday that he would become the first candidate to opt out of the public financing program for the general election was a big deal for some of the nation's most influential newspaper editorial boards, which have long been ardent champions of campaign finance reform and which had thought they'd found a kindred spirit on the issue.

Michigan legislators, tribes divided over casinos in state

WASHINGTON -- A fight over proposed American Indian casinos in Romulus and Port Huron may reach the floor of Congress this week, where two Michigan political heavyweights find themselves on opposite sides of the issue.

Arab Americans shift political ties

Until a few years ago, N. Peter Antone was a loyal Republican. The Iraqi Catholic immigrant from West Bloomfield admired Ronald Reagan's sunny optimism, shared the GOP's views on abortion and family values, and donated at least $400 every year to the Republican Party.

State politics will be an exciting ride

But for the next 2 1/2 years in Michigan, you'd have to be a complete stiff to not be at least a little revved up over the feverish political activity we'll see -- and the policy implications it will carry.

Minimum wage soon to rise, again; Businesses worry about added expense

The minimum wage is about to go up again -- a move that has Michigan businesses shuddering.

Democrat eager to take down congressional Goliath

West Michigan Democrat Fred Johnson may be kicking off his campaign for Congress as an underfunded underdog, but he doesn't seem remotely troubled by that status.

Obama's Childish Foreign Policy

"Winnie-the-Pooh seems to me to be a fundamental text on national security."
--former Navy Secretary Richard Danzig, one of Barack Obama's key foreign policy advisers, June 11
