Something to Bring Us All a Little Joy.....

I literally cannot watch this video without feeling a huge smile spread across my face. It reminds me that, no matter where we are from, no matter our race or our culture or our partisan affiliation, we are all connected by one common thread--our humanity and our love of our fellow man. Enjoy!!
The kids were awesome (brought a tear to my eye). However, I also liked the New Guinea tribesmen as well. Oh, and the field of flowers that he was dancing in was beautiful.

I must not have read RS on Sunday, because I must have missed it. Oh well, I guess it won't hurt to see it twice. :-)

Actually, I've lost track of how many times that I've watched it. Its getting embarrassing. :-)
I wanna go to half those places. I think he forgot Boston, though.
My husband and I went to Egypt for our honeymoon, and the Pyramids are a sight for sore eyes. I would have loved to have seen him dancing in front of the Great Pyramid.
Anyway, I agree with you about being jealous. After I saw that video, I told my husband that as soon as I graduate from medical school, we are going to go some exotic, far away place.
Maybe not exotic exotic, but it's a: beautiful; b: full of wineries that are perfectly all right... by Italian standards, which means that you'll be drinking reds that are insanely cheap for their quality by our standards; c: a place that understands how to cook a steak properly; and d, has Florence.

Tuscany sounds great. I'm all about good red wines and good steaks. Does Tuscany have castles? I would love to see some castles and medieval villages. I'll make my husband make a video of me dancing in front of a castle after I've had a couple of glasses of good red wine.
We did the rustic parts for our honeymoon (stay in a converted servant's quarters for a week). Heavy WWII partisan country: it actually looked a lot like Pennsylvania*, only with worse roads.
I hear that Austria has some good stuff in the castle/medieval village line; Vienna especially. I also hear that Prague also does quite well for itself at lower prices, now that they've gotten past the entire Communism thing. But you'd need somebody who's actually been to say.

*Down to the hunters. If Italy has gun control, they didn't tell all those guys out there hunting wild boar with shotguns while we were there. The funny part was that the dogs would keep scaring out all those tasty deer, then look weird at their humans when their humans kept ignoring them...
However, I'm not sure that I'm up to hunting wild boar with shotguns--I think I'll just stick to eating steak and drink red wine.
I heard that Spain actually has awesome castles and Moorish fortresses. I will definitely visit there one day, along with Austria, to see all of the castles.
India would be the other exotic locale that I would like to visit. Those Indian women dancing in that video looked really cool, and I would love to see the Taj Mahal.
Oh, and finally, I will return to Egypt one day to see the Pyramids and the Sphinx again. :-)

GC, I'm not sure who sings the song in this video, but I agree that its really cool. Anyway, I'll look it up for you later on tonight and see if I can find out. :-)

OK Gamecock, here's the info that you were looking for. The score is called "Praan" and the composer's name is Gary Schyman. It is sung by a Bengali singer named Palbasha Siddique. Here is the link to the New York Times article about the video.

Thanks simpson. I guess you learn something new everyday. Now that I know what "Rickrolled" means, the "Whitey" video is even funnier. :-)
