Recall petition filed against Jindal

What a joke. What a sad, pitiful joke.

Some in th elocal media have been stoking this fire for a week and a half.

Two Jefferson Parish residents have filed a recall petition against Gov. Bobby Jindal.
...

The two would have to collect and then have verified signatures from at least one-third of the registered voters in the state.

With more than 2.8 million registered voters in Louisiana, they would need in excess of 953,000 signatures to trigger an election.

They came for Huckabee. They hammered Pawlenty. Now they're coming for Jindal.

Come on how bout at least having a little more before you start morphing the entire universe into support for Huckabee.

Pragmatic social conservatism, as espoused by Huckabee, Pawlenty, and Jindal, is worth defending though.

is your method to that goal.

I will gladly criticize them.

The post you linked to says more or less: "we opposed the pay raise. They did it. Now recalls are being filed against legislators and the Governor."

If you can point to actual support of the recall or especially funding of it, I'll join you. But that was just their blogger following the story because they opposed Jindal on a specific issue.

what people don't say says more than what they say.

The proper response to a Jindal recall effort is what Vladimir did on this blog: call it a sad pitiful joke.

Instead of denouncing this recall as a joke as Vladimir has done, CfG takes the opposite approach by:

1) Giving the recall effort credibility by seriously discussing
it and prominently featuring it on the front of their web site

2) Tacitly approving of the actions of the people who started the recall -- after all it is justified "backlash"

It is easy to read between the lines and see that they don't like Jindal.

By that logic by Dave in Fla

By that logic, Jindal supports his own recall. He has freely admitted that the pay raise was a mistake.

"If they were merely incompetent, then at least SOME of their actions would have been to the benefit of the country."

I think tacit approval is a fair description.

And neither time does she really say much about it one way or the other.

I think this is a real reach by someone with a history of real reaches against this group, popping up out of the woodwork again to push that same old agenda again.
