Just When You Thought The Democrats Couldn't Sink Any Lower

They go and attack John McCain's Military service. One of the unwritten rules in America is you never, ever attack a man in uniform. Whether he's liberal, conservative, Democrat, Libertarian, or Republican, you never bash the service of a man or woman who served this country. Americans tolerate many things but that ain't one of em'

I guess Wesley Clark didn't get the memo. It's one thing to have some Code Pink loon spew verbal discharge at Military men and women in Berkeley, but for a Military man to attack another Military man is just wrong. Both men served in Vietnam and both men are honorable for that. But Wesley Clark should know better, especially when our troops have been under attack by the left in this country for quite some time. He said John McCain's service, no matter how honorable doesn't qualify him to be president. Oh and Barack Obama's community organizing days and his trips to Pakistan as a teenager does? Or maybe his ethnicity makes him qualified to be president of the United States. Oh I get it, a speech 5 years ago makes you qualified to be president right? I mean that's all Barack Obama has; a speech made 5 years ago. He never had to make a decision on the war, he never voted for the war, and he even said had he been in the Senate he doesn't know how we would have voted. So what am I missing here?

If a decorated Military man who has experience commanding a squadron, experience in a time of war, and experience with Foreign Affairs and actually voting in terms of Foreign Policy doesn't have the necessary qualifications and judgment than a guy who made a speech and ran for president on that speech then either we've misjudged what it takes to be president or once again I've stepped into a parallel universe. Barack Obama and his liberal firing squad better take this into consideration. The American people, you know? that middle block he want to appeal to won't stand for this. Average folks don't take kindly to verbal attacks on a man's Military service. And the left can say "Oh well they did it to John Kerry" the difference is John Kerry bashed and slandered fellow troops in Vietnam. He puked bogus statements about the troops raping and decapitating innocent Vietnamese civilians.

John McCain never did that. He rejected early release because his fellow POW's weren't offered the same. He's an American hero in the eyes of every rational average American voter. So these little cheap shots from the left won't sway any Independents, blue collar voter, or senior voter from thinking different. They'll only start to think less of Barack Obama and his "new style of politics"

So I wonder how can you tout this "different campaign" when your surrogates and outside supporters who donate to your "Movement" knee cap your opponent's Military service and his time in a POW camp. I mean they're calling John McCain's time in the Hanoi "Propaganda for the Enemy" And I get mad because my family has a long and decorated Military history. My brother is an Air Force pilot, my uncles served in Vietnam, and my dad was in the Air Force. So when I hear people take lunging shots at the Military I get pissed off. Wesley Clark was interviewed twice since making those vile comments and he still refused to apologize. Not only that he never acknowledged John McCain directly. He would say, "I would never diss anyone's Military service" How about saying you would never diss John McCain's Military service.

But maybe all of this stems from envy on the part of Gen. Clark. I mean how would you feel if you were deemed irrelevant while John McCain is basically GI Joe. Everyone in this country admiring him and honoring him for his heroic duty in Vietnam; all the while your Wesley Clark and you're basically a non issue. Did you hear him? He kept saying, "I was shot too, I helped win Kosovo" Kosovo? Not even people from Kosovo remember Kosovo. Gen. Clark is like Salieri, so jealous of John McCain because McCain gets the recognition Gen. Clark feels he deserves and not McCain.

When the Obamtons take the idea that Obama is qualified to be President off the table.

The Democrats are better by mike volpe

off attacking Santa Clause than attacking McCain's war record. This is so politically brain dead, it's like I am witnessing the sixth grade class presidency rather than the U.S. Presidency. If you want McCain to win, then you welcome each and every attack on his military record that each and every Democrat can come up with.

By all means, let's make this campaign a referendum on McCain's military record. Is there really a better place for Republicans to be then there. Furthermore, everytime they attack by all means let them bring up the SBVT as justification. Obviously, we are all in a dream world hoping that this really does become a referendum on his military credentials, but still, we are now in day three of this story. That is four more days than any Democrat wanted this story to go. (no that is not a typo. Democrats want the media to focus on McCain's military record negative one day)

By all means let's have a debate on what six years of torture and imprisonment in defense of your country will do to prepare you for the Presidency. Furthermore, let's compare how that experience prepared McCain for the Presidency compared to Obama's experience...oh wait, there is no experience...

Look, the Democrats have opened up a Pandora's box here. They are now fighting on McCain's turf. This gives McCain an opportunity to highlight his biggest strength, the patriotic gap. If I am McCain, I call a press conference, one hour, and I make it exclusively about his military record and any issues related to that.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor
