How Much is Winning the War, Saving Democracy, and Protecting Human Life Worth to You?

I am rather disturbed when I hear conservatives say they are not going to vote for John McCain for some economic reasons when I figure they support the war in Iraq. Lately it seems there has been an onslaught of outrage over McCain's position on Global Warming. A diary dropping support for McCain has rocketed to the top of the recommended list. This is disturbing if they support the Iraq war.
If one supports the Iraq war, then they must believe that the war is worth thousands of human lives. Therefore, anything that is more important than the Iraq war is worth more than thousands of human lives. Therefore, if one supports the Iraq war, but is willing to lose it (not vote for McCain) for the sake of global warming policy, then they are saying global warming policy is more important than the Iraq war. Hence they are saying global warming policy is more important than American lives.
So the question is, is global warming policy (or I think you could insert almost any economic policy or CFR...) worth more than American lives- or the lives of Iraqis who will be massacred if we leave. I urge to do a thought test to see if you think its worth it. Would you be willing to tell parents that their children had to die so that we could have a better policy on Global Warming, a lower carbon tax or whatever it is you want. Because if you support the war, but support losing it for the sake of global warming policy, then you are saying global warming policy is worth more than the lives of children lost in war - it is worth more than their children. So let’s take this a step further, since you think the lives of these parents children is worth less than global warming policy, would you support the shedding of their blood in war to have a more conservative global warming policy? After all, if you think they are less important than global warming policy why not shed their blood in war over it?
Personally I think very few things are worth human life. The only thing I can think of that I value more is freedom, and though I do not claim to be a conservative I think viewing human life as priceless is a conservative value. It seems to me that part of being conservative is believing in certain values that transcend material values - belief in the worth of abstract values such as freedom, democracy, faith, and life. To declare support of winning a war only if it doesn't cost us electing a president that will mean bad economic policy, is to say economic policy is more important than lives. That is to put the dollar sign above the flag of the United States of America, a dollar sign over the Holy Scriptures which teach us to respect life, and a dollar sign entrenched foremost in our hearts and minds.
Another issue is the courts. This is an issue involving the future of Democracy in this country. I believe Barack Obama will appoint judges who will not stop at upholding Roe - he will appoint judges who will decide all Social policy in the future. The right of the people to have a say in social policy will be usurped, a large part of Democracy will be destroyed. Democracy is something I believe it is worth fighting over. Democracy is something I think its worth killing and dying for. However, if one agrees with me that Democracy is at stakes in the courts, if Obama wins, but they choose to stand by and let it happen because of economic policy, than they are saying economic policy is more important than democracy. Once again they are putting a dollar sign over the flag and over values that brave men and women have shed their blood over. I ask you, if you had a vote and the question was democracy or a higher tax which would you choose? I would choose Democracy.
Then there is the issue of abortion. If you believe abortion is the taking of human life, then is it right to put the issue of taxes and spending over such an issue? If McCain wins and gets 1 to three conservative justices through than Roe V. Wade may be history. If this happens states can outlaw abortion and less babies will get killed. If you believe this is the case but are willing to let Obama get in because of economic policies, than you are saying economic policies are more important than the lives of babies. To you I ask the question, if the election was over the decision to kill babies and have a tax cut, and not kill babies which would you choose?
So here are my questions for you. Are you willing to stand before the family of soldiers who have died in Iraq and tell them that you lost the war they gave their lives to win so that you could have lower taxes, and lower spending? Are you willing to stand before your children and grandchildren and tell them that you gave up their right to self rule so that so you would not have to deal with a global warming policy not to your liking? Are you willing to stand before God and tell him that you put keeping your tax money in your pocket above the lives of innocent babies? I would be absolutely ashamed to do any of these three things.
I know noting about HTML, so I don't know what I can do, but if you have some sugestions of what I could do please tell me. Its not quite like I want it to appear either, but I don't know much of what to do.
It's not any HTML coding that is your problem, your spelling and punctuation is horrible!
Please man, run your stuff through a spell checker or get ieSpell (if you use IE).
Well maybe I got it from "horrible!" to just poor.

Just when I glue the checkbook shut you frame the election question in terms closely associated with my values -- and my money follows by values/principles.
Oh well, looking for the glue solvent now.

do I even have to write this type of diary?
It's obvious with the choices before us that the people of the US want to move in a direction away from one nation under God to a nation that is one nation under Man. While a McCain presidency would seem to be an alternative to this, it is my opinion that it is nothing more than a compromise of the two positions (something McCain is famous for). This type of compromise only moves us closer to the inevitable conclusion that one day we will no longer be one nation under God. Do I see where a Clinton/Obama or even a McCain presidency would lead our country with a Dem congress? Yes, I do and it’s very unsettling and is a great burden upon me to see the country that I love choose such a direction for its future.
While I don't know what I'm going to do with McCain in November, as of yet, because I find myself in the straight betwixt two opinions: on one hand I see your point and its validity and on the other hand, as a Christian, I can also see another valid point, which is: God's way of judging a man, or a nation, is to let them have their own way (i.e. the prodigal son). My vote or non vote in November will be reflective of how I personally see God at work in this nation and it will be done with much prayer and consideration (especially in regards to what you have stated).
Sometimes we must simply let people have their own way because that is the only way they can learn what is best. Is that what must be done in this election? I haven't decided yet, but I am leaning in that direction!
than we will get the canidate we deserve, because we will have the canidate we chose.

Now the thing is, from A conservative perspective I don't see how Obama is better on global warming and economic policy or really anything. But even if he was it seems to me the court and the war trump those issues.
