But this strikes me as yet another round of "we are losing the message war because our message is much too subtle for the general public." Perhaps it is high time to wonder whether the message war is being lost because the ideas behind the message are not all they are cracked up to be.

I know, I know . . . this is not a revolutionary thought. But perhaps it is a timely one.
