[A big ol' Stetson to Gateway Pundit for the inspiration...and to my personal "honey-do" activities this weekend for the correlation]

Thanks for the memories Jimmah...the hits just keep on comin'...now, let's see who can photoshop this pic for extra credit.

I'll throw down for a Redstate coffee mug as a door prize for best caption or best "doctored" photo.

Heh. Cracks.

Jimmy Carter's "considerin room" is the Habitat for Humanity constructed nerve center for all his foreign policy theorizing.

I'll get an "album" set up at my site and come back with a diary about the honey-do list. for now, though, lemme 'splain the outhouse:

I bought 6 acres of land diagonally across, and behind my house. My house is on 1 acre and has been an ongoing construction site for years (Mr. Emanuel and Mr. Domenech can attest to this). The other acreage is referred to (lovingly) as the "back 6" and 5 of my horses graze there in the non-winter months. There is a "tank" as well with an excellent supply of bass, catfish, and all the turtles I miss when I try to shoot them out of the tank (because they eat the other fish, natch). [catch and release is MANDATORY!]

There is no running water or electricity, and we are building a cabin of sorts..starting off with a 16 x 16 platform on which a 10 x 16 Cabela's tent currently sits. Over time, this will be our home away from home-it's so desolate there, we can hear our dogs bark when a "strange car" pulls up to the main house...so we're close, but it "feels" miles away, out in the wilderness...coyotes, wild hogs, and of course mooing cows and such other furry creatures (and winged ones as well) that the good Lord has provided.

We need a potty! Such is the origins of the photo...all I have left to do is the door...

heh

stripes and patterns don't go well together?

"ma deuce says no truce"

This is what comes to mind when I see that:

I'm a little bit country
And I'm a little bit Kill-the-infidel
I'm a little bit of Memphis and Nashville
With a little bit of Taquiya in my soul
I don't know if it's good or bad
But I know I love it so
I'm a little bit country
And I'm a little bit Israel's-head's-gotta-roll....

Seriously, the two of them remind me of an evil "Bosom Buddies" with Carter being Tom Hanks.

That smile, that confidence.

Earlier today, I listened to Charlie Rose force Ted Sorenson to admit that President Reagan did a lot of specific good during his Administration.

Sorenson has become a robot. He said that Clinton (Bill) was the best communicator we've had as Presidnet.

Whatever drugs he's on, I don't want near 'em.
